Hey all, Dan here. It's been ages, but we're finally back! I haven't caught scammers in a long time, and this one was a little uncooperative, but hey, it's a start. I was in Coral Canyons when I noticed this person sitting to the side and advertising that the first trade they accept will get their outfit.

Aside from the snow leopard slippers and the spiked collar (that I can't identify because there's way too many to keep track of), the most notable thing in their outfit is the Alpha Sword, which, for those of you unaware, is the prize for getting 96 Jazwares Toys (which are a line of toy items AJ sells that come with codes that can be redeemed for rare in-game pets) on the Adopt A Pet checklist. The sword is highly coveted on account of the fact you need to buy 96 of Animal Jam's darn physical toys, which cost anywhere from $6 to $15 USD each, to get it without trading (I may have some info off since I haven't played in awhile, so correct me if I'm wrong.)

As suspected, the only things on their trade list were a bunch of store-bought necklaces and other throwaway items. They're basically asking people to trade their valuables for the garbage on their trade list, saying that the trade they accept will receive their outfit.
There are a few reasons this is a scam, the first and foremost being they can just have people trade for the outfit directly. There's no reason that people should actually trade for one item while expecting to receive an entirely different one afterwards.

I asked them why people couldn't just trade for the items directly, and this was the response they gave ("I have a select item in mind, minute I see it, I'll accept"). This isn't an excuse because they can do the exact same thing if people were to trade for the items themselves.
After this, I continued to question them, but they either blocked me or just did a really persistent job of ignoring me because they didn't respond to a single thing I said afterwards and instead started talking to seemingly the only person trying to trade them, who was also ignoring me. I eventually left with my evidence since nothing was happening.
Please report them for scamming.

Verdict: Attempted Scamming

  1. Dan..?
Did some old person change their name or are you new?

    1. I used to be Cerise. New society, new name.

  2. Glad to see that the SWS is getting up and running again. Can't wait for what's to come!

  3. It's quite a shame to see "Rare" people using their items to take advantage of others.
