The SWS Needs Your Help

Hello viewers. This is the blog administrator, Cerise. As most of you are already aware, this society has been taking a plunge downhill within the last few months. We have very few agents who are actually active, and the ones that are active are so caught up with schoolwork that there is little time to do anything productive. At this point, the work that is done for the society feels more like an exhausting and boring job rather than something we do out of the goodness of our hearts because we legitimately enjoy it. We're constantly forcing ourselves to go out and do recruiting sessions (that are absolutely aggravating) that usually end up being a complete disaster.
This society is on its last leg. I've talked with the remaining council members and we have come to the conclusion that, if this society doesn't get in shape soon, we'll be forced to close it down to prevent any further problems. If the society continues in its current state, it is scheduled to be closed down on January 4th, 2017.
We need your help in order to keep this society standing. There are several things you can do that can help this society.

1. If you run a blog or YouTube channel, make a video or a post talking about/advertising the society. It can even be a short snip-it at the beginning of the video or a small paragraph at the end of your post - anything helps.

2. Tell your friends about the society. Show them the website and tell them to read some of the posts.

3. Simply read the blog and/or post comments. Any kind of feedback or communication helps signal boost the website and keep the society in touch with the viewers.

4. If you think you have what it takes, sign up for the society. Come on our chat room (preferably chat room 1) and ask someone how you can sign up. We're in desperate need of new agents who are up for the job at the moment. Even if you just want to volunteer for a bit, all help is welcome.

Thank you for your assistance. Please ask if you have any more questions.

  1. Cerise, if we need to pay someone in rares to do advertisements, I can do some more forgotten desert, sky high, ect. I got a viking hat from Forgotten Desert yesterday, and I plan on getting some more "half-a spike" items.

  2. Dear SWS,
I have been a constant viewer of the society for quite some time now, and I'm here to say that I would love to help the society get back on its feet. Animal Jam and just blogs like this in general have helped me get through some of the hardest times in my life. I can't be a full time agent the posts, but I can advertise on my soon to be YouTube channel and I can be someone who sticks around the chat room and get sufficient evidence of scammers to send to you. I don't want to see the society fall down like this, so everyone please help the SWS. -Akmlynx(contact me on AJ if I can join)

    1. "makes no sense"
Just because we're in need of new agents and are opening hiring doesn't mean we're going to hire every single person who asks to join. Anybody can scam catch, but not everybody is able to take on the role as an agent in a scam catching society.
In real life, you won't always get the job, especially if you did poorly during your job interview. Your sister probably wasn't hired because we didn't see her as an adequate addition to the society, or she did poorly on her resume.

    2. That sounds familiar. It may have been one of the people I did on Chat 2 during that one session. In that case, and in MANY others, they are so caught up in joining and so sure they will get in that they give ZERO effort to it. We assume they won't care, so we deny them.

    3. You have shown inadequate behavior in the chat room, in which we cannot accept your application. It doesn't matter if it "was your sister." You are responsible. Unfortunately we will not be accepting you for hiring for various reasons.

    4. On the animal jam whip you left a comment saying someone pretended to be your 'sister', yet here you're saying it WAS your sister.

  4. Ooh! Ooh! Pick me! Pick me! I want to join the society SO BAD. Yesterday I did a post that did mention this blog, because it was about a possible scammer and I said this: "I've been reading Animal Jam Scammer Watcher Society lately, so I went "scammer hunting"." I can advertise it more and maybe even make a link to the blog. -sneezy77

    1. We don;t simply "pick" people to join. If you think you have what it takes and wish to join the society, please report to the chat room and ask how you can join. We will take it from there.

What if you're 11 and you wish to join? Since Chat Room 1 is 13+, I am unable to chat on it.

(PS: I am not signed into my blogger account, it's CosmicCheetah AJ)

    1. You can still chat on Chat Room 1 if you aren't 13, it's just a warning because that chat room allows extensive swearing.

    1. You were deleted because you hadn't posted or shown any signs of activity in multiple months, so we assumed you were inactive. If you wish to be readded, just ask.

  7. Hi Cerise. If it would be okay, I would like to volunteer to help out. I would hate for the SWS to close down and I support the society 100%. I'll help out with what ever you, a council member, or agent needs done if you guys would want me to volunteer. On Animal Jam now days I go by the username of Pieasaurus.

    1. I trust your judgement on who is adequate to join the Society, so yes, but make sure to do the briefing with them and for Beta or Sky to be on when you recruit them.

  11. This society cant fall down. It has been running for far too long. Why shut down, you could keep it running, just with new people to tend. Not everything lasts forever, but this is nowhere close to forever.

    ReplyDelete

    1. No, we can't keep it running. It's much more difficult to manage and take care of this society than you may think. We can't simply 'choose new people' to run the society, it doesn't work that way. We'd rather shut it down than watch it slowly become an amalgamation of chaos and disaster. If we're not able to clean up this society by the January 4th deadline, then we're closing it to prevent further incidents.

    2. What exactly is your idea of 'cleaning it up?"

    3. Getting agents who will actually do their jobs. Recruiting people so that we have more than 4 active agents in the society. Getting a steady flow of rookies joining so that we don't have to go recruiting every second day. Being able to actually do community service again. Get more than 1 council member who will actually do something.

  12. sorry about inactivity.
I will strive to get on soon, and hope to regain trust if I have lost it

  13. P.S. maybe we could do more community services, have jammer training (how to scam catch 101 basically), do volunteering (basically we let them be kinda a agent and they do kind of collage and then if they pass a test they join) to let jammers find out what it is like and why they should join! if they are motivated, they will come, and we could become a greater society from ever before! maybe this can help us get greater ideas than we used to!

    1. Community service is the least of our concerns right now. As for the volunteering idea, we already have plans for a similar system.

  14. Excuse me, but I filled out this test thing which was supposed (I think) to be a kind of sign-up form for the society. I did this back when this post was first made, but I haven't gotten any reply. Do you know what happened?

    1. Have you filled out the interview/sign up form on our latest updates post? Because if so, you were to schedule a time to be interviewed in our chat.
