animalwolf73 (Member)

PC with a quick scammer report. animalwolf73 claimed the best accepted trade would win a black long Spike. They did not respond to questioning, refused to prove they had the Spike, and went silent for a good 5 minutes, so I eventually just left.

It's obvious they don't have a black long, and even if they did, there is no reason for them to not just do direct trade attempts...well, there is one reason, and that would be that they're trying to scam, so.

Report animalwolf73 for scamming.

    1. When I saw your comment in the comment queue, I couldn't tell if it was a joke or not. I'll reply to it nonetheless.
I don't care if this is your girlfriend or not, and even if she is, you're either way too young to have a girlfriend, or way too old to be playing a child's game.
Your "girlfriend" here was caught scamming, so she's being posted here. If you have a problem with it, you can go and find proof that she's not a scammer.

    1. Refer to my previous comment.

    3. 1. Nice grammar for being 14.
      2. "tht".
      3. "u"
      4. "seagull guy"

    4. Also, unless you can pay for your own date, and drive to your own date, you SHOULD NOT be dating.

    5. 1. You're 14? You must be doing rather poorly in English class.
      2. 14 is still way too young to be getting into a relationship. A relationship means you're committed to the person you're dating and you're ready to be responsible for the life of another human being, and judging by the fact you still care about your supposed girlfriend being posted by some vigilantes on a child's game, you're not ready for that responsibility.
      3. I fail to see how 13 is too old to be playing a game for children. And before you start getting angry at me for accusing you of being too old for AJ, I didn't know you were 14 (I still don't believe you are).

    6. i dont have to have good grammar unless it's something important like school work or something.

    7. "something important"
Such as trying to make yourself sound like you're not a 7 year old troll when you're trying to get your "girlfriend" off of a site for attempting to pawn pixels off of young kids?

      Delete
    8. uh this isn't that important. but i do truly care about her and this has kinda been making her cry..

    9. You are aware you said "this isn't that important", and "i do truly care about her and this has been making her cry" in the same comment, right?

    10. she has been very sad lately becuz of this. she feels rlly bad for what shes done and will never do it again..

    11. Even is she is your girlfriend, that still gives her no excuse to be scamming.

Also, practice makes perfect; practicing proper grammar also improves it.

If you truly care about her, I would recommend talking to her and telling what she did was wrong.
Say something like,"I understand that you really want that item, but you shouldn't do this because it's not right. Next time you see something that you like, tell me and we'll both work together to trade for that."
If she gets mad at you for that, well, she should know that scamming is wrong, and being angry at someone's who is right is illogical.

    12. Thanks Fem. You're nice. :) How come you haven't posted yet? Or have you, and I just didn't notice?

    13. You're welcome :) All of us are nice here, but dealing with scammers and such has been, well, tiring in a way. Some of us have been dealing with scammers for several years, and a lot of the scenarios are the(slightly)the same. It gets repetitive.

I have posted, but it has been a long time ago. The reason is I don't have enough time to go on Animal (schoolwork, club work, etc), so I've decided to become the site secretary instead.

    14. I've grown bitter with the state of the community, having personally been scam catching since December 2012.....

    15. I talked to my GF and she said she was "breaking up with me" for talking about her scamming. What an immature brat.

  3. Hi, I'm currently writing an article about anti-scamming in Animal Jam. Do you take time to collaborate proof of every single spam? Maybe you could think of better ways to approach people upset about having their username broadcasted to every one. Personally, I think you are driving away people with your bitter answers. You speak of people being 'too old for a kid's game' but you come across as an aggressive 16 year old, who, in my opinion, has grown too old for this game. Awaiting your response, Anonymous

    1. I don't know what you mean by "collaborating proof" of every scam. If you're asking if we take proof that other agents have gathered as well, we usually don't, because it's usually just one agent taking care of a scammer at a time.
If you have any suggestions for how we could deal with people wanting to get taken off the website, we'd be happy to hear them. It's actually quite difficult not to be bitter when you have to deal with multiple comments a week of scammers complaining about how "omg i got haked!!1!" or "omg it was my friend it was not me!1!!1".
I'm actually not 16, only 13. I wouldn't consider myself too old for the game, simply getting a little sick of the atrocity that is the community.

    2. I agree with anonymous. Cerise and PC are always answering aggressively. Even if it's just a little kid asking a question, they always go a bit too harsh on them.

      Delete
    3. None of us are "harsh", we simply state the facts in a very blunt way.

      Delete
    4. This I have to agree with sometimes. Though the truth may be blunt, we should try to phrase it in a less blunt way if possible.

Though it is tiring trying to reason with people that cannot acknowledge their own errors, or trying to get people to overthrow their want of an item and use logic instead (I have encountered people who swear at me when I try to explain to them that a giveaway with trusting in it is a scam.)

    5. Also, I think what the first Anon was trying to say is that we should come up with a new way to deal with scammers that doesn't include putting their usernames.

We had another society a year-ish ago, which was named Children of Mira. It was dedicated to hosting anti-scamming demonstrations in Jamaa, but I believe it has been been inactive for a long time.

    6. Whenever they try to start it up, they do the intro to everyone but they don't manage to do anything else.

  4. I'm sorry, but I have to agree. Sometimes you ARE a bit harsh in answering simple answers or misunderstandings...

  5. Please don't apologize for this! I appreciate all honest opinions on this site. It's great to know that someone is giving feedback :)
